QR codes
What's the difference between a dynamic and a static QR code?
A dynamic QR encodes a short redirect URL we control. When someone scans it, our server forwards them to the destination you set, and you can change that destination anytime — even after the code is printed. A static QR encodes the data directly into the image (a phone number, a WiFi password, a vCard). It can't be edited later, but it always works, even offline. More on the difference and when to use which.
Do my QR codes expire?
No. Codes you create on Free or Pro stay active as long as your account is active. There's no expiration timer, no premium QR markup added to the image, and no rate limit on the redirect itself.
Can I change the destination after I print?
Yes — that's the whole point. URL codes you create as dynamic can have their destination updated anytime from the dashboard. The code on the printed page does not change.
Which QR types does QR My support?
Seven types: URL, Text, vCard, WiFi, Phone, SMS, and Email. URL codes can be dynamic; the others are static — encoded directly into the image because there's no destination to redirect to.
Pricing and billing
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan is $0 with five codes and 10,000 scans per month. We don't ask for a card to sign up.
What's included on the Free plan?
Five codes, 10,000 scans per month, the full customization toolkit (module shapes and six colors), full per-scan analytics, every QR type, and dynamic destinations on URL codes. The same toolkit you get on Pro.
What happens if I cancel Pro?
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your codes stay active and your account moves to the Free plan's limits — five codes and 10,000 scans per month. Codes over the Free limit aren't deleted; you just can't create new ones until you're under the cap.
Customization and downloads
Can I customize how the code looks?
Yes. Pick one of four module shapes (square, rounded, circle, gapped) and one of six on-brand colors. Customization is the same on Free and Pro. Try the builder.
Can I download the code as PNG or SVG?
PNG is supported at print resolution, with all styling applied. SVG is supported only when no styling has been applied — module shape and color are baked into the PNG output. PNG is the print-grade format.
Analytics and privacy
What scan analytics do I get?
Every scan records device type, operating system, browser, country and city when available, time, and the referring URL when present. The dashboard surfaces total scans, average per code, peak day, a 7-day activity chart, top locations, and a filterable scan history.
Are scans of my codes private to me?
Yes. Scan data on your codes is visible only to you in your dashboard. We do not show the scanner's IP address. The QR redirect does not set cookies on the scanner's device. We do not identify the scanner to you or to ourselves. More in the privacy policy.
Account
How do I delete my account?
From the dashboard. Account deletion removes your codes and scan history. Email hello@qrmy.app if anything goes wrong or if you need a copy of your data first.
